Saw him at Shea when he was with the Mets and Yogi was manager. I was like 10 and a Yankee fan but even then I knew these men were baseball royalty.

my mom used to buy my toughskins jeans at his department store on hempstead turnpike in levittown. i never saw him there though

my mom used to buy my toughskins jeans at his department store on hempstead turnpike in levittown. i never saw him there though His lack of involvement forced them to turn it into a flea market, that is still there to today. Funny story - Back when my Daughter was a itty bitty, maybe 18 months, we went to one of those little kiddie carnivals behind this place. Me, Daughter and wifne get into one of those apple thingys. It starts to go around and I and making it spin like crazy. Daughter is loving it and laughing her tiny ass off. Wifne, turns fucking green and than ashen, bends over and pukes all over the floor. I yell stop the fucking ride. We apologize for the mess and my, somewhat recovered wifne calls me a bastid for making her sick. Fun times. It was the last spin/motion ride wifne ever went on. Kids and I would ride all day while she sat on the bench watching. |
