Morning fellow Jets fans.
Found only a couple of tidbits...
Joe Namath was on the copy of Sports Illustrated in 1969 after winning the Superbowl.
Also, former Jets 1st round draft pick (1992) Johnny Mitchell TE was born on this day in 1971 in Chicago.
Mitchells pick was controversial and left many fans, including myself, scratching their head..

I was at a game vs philly, prolly in 92, where he caught 2 or 3 TDs. Jets had a 21 point lead, IIRC. Blew it. Lost.

I was so pissed...I remember that fucking game too...shit! Imagine how pissed you'd be if you were there! The first Jets game I was at was the home opener here in Buffalo in 1975.. Jets lost 42-14.. I was 9.. Never liked the Bills when I moved here summer of 75.. Lived in Rockland before that and got hooked on the Jets then..Namath.Caster. Barkum .Snell Boozer.Bell..loved those guys.. |
