Good morning Jets fans.....
This day in History has not been kind to our beloved Jets....
1983 Jets vs Miami for the AFC Conference title.....
Richard Todd could not get the Offense rolling in the Mud pit that was the
orange bowl that day.... AJ Duhe picked Todd and ran it back for a TD.
Jets lost 14-0.
I remember listening to the game on the radio coming back from a hockey tournament.
Damn him!
Also, in 2011 Our Jets lost another AFC Title game, this time in Pittsburg ....
24-19. Jets were so far behind early that they almost mounted a 2nd half comeback,
but that fell short too.....
fuck this day in NY Jets history..... Attachments:

I remember both of those games very well. Especially the game in Pittsburgh. 8 hour drive on Saturday from Chicago to Pittsburgh. Sunday in Heinz Field watching a team that never showed up until it was too late. I will never forget the feeling after the game and the long drive home on Monday morning. I don't think my son and I spoke two words to each other on the ride home. 2nd straight year that I took a road trip to watch the Jets play for the AFC Championship and 2nd straight year with a long depressing ride home. Someday this team will make it to the SB, and I intend to be there when it happens.
There was one good memory from this date. On January 23, 1978, our Super Bowl winning coach, Weeb Ewbank was selected for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Too much self congratulation after beating the deflatetriots and Rex kissing Tomlin's ass in the press conferences. Team came out flat and that is on Rex.

That mud bowl was brutal. As soon as I saw Richard Todd's Daily News TV commercials ahead of that game ("See YOU at the Super Bowl"), I knew we were fucked.
