Feeds what point? I knew people were assholes long before American Sniper and Twatter existed.
If you want to say that they portrayed Chris Kyle in a favorable light then I would agree. There are some pretty dark things from his book that they left out. But I just don't see how this movie serves as propaganda to promote the war. If you watch the movie you see just how brutal war is and the prices that not only the soldiers pay but also the civilians that live in these war-torn countries.

^ Of course Hollywood took some artistic/creative liberties. I just don't know why people are considering it propaganda. What parts do you think are propaganda? Doesn't answer your question but feeds into the point There are literally hundreds of thousands of mouth-breathing jackasses, racists, jingoists, and assorted morons on Twitter. Cherry picking their quotes for an accurate representation of the movie is like listening to the crazy guy that screams Bible quotes on the subway and thinking, "Wow, everyone in NY must be a fundamental Christian."

The criticisms that people have for this movie are just lazy generalizations.

Most of those criticisms don't even make sense. Like I said in an earlier post, they did omit some stuff from the book that may or may nor reveal Kyle's character. That happens all the time with these movies. They try to make them appeal to wider audiences so they sell and make $$$. That is their only objective. And the Obama's campaigned on being against the war so I don't think Michelle presenting an award means she is promoting the war. I think people are overthinking this and the Obamas just like being involved with the Oscars. I don't know anything about the armed forces recruiting outside these movies and if that is happening then shame on them. As for the film, it is not a documentary of the Iraq War nor does it claim to be so I don't see the issue. Hardly any of these movies are ever 100% historically accurate anyways. Anybody criticizing this movie in Hollywood for being political is doing so b.c Clint Eastwood is not politically aligned with them.

I saw this movie on Christmas with my parents and another family. My parents lean left, the other family is very very left, and we all walked out thinkining that if any thing it was an anti-war movie. To call this film propaganda or pro war, I just don't understand.
My take is that after ferguson/garner, another missing pane, hebdo, etc the msm needed to create some bs because life appeared to settle down for 2 freaking seconds.

Fuck Michael Moore especially - fat fuck can't even walk down the stairs without losing his breath and he's calling snipers and troops cowards. What a tumor on society.

I saw it yesterday. If anything, I think it was pretty fair how it portrayed things across the board. The tough decisions these guys have to make, and what they deal with once they come home.
Sure, things were condensed/altered/whatever from actual events but thats hollywood. Its not a documentary.

Sheep, wolves, and sheep dogs. Michael Moore's the fattest sheep in the pasture; he should be thankful there are sheep dogs out there keeping the wolves at bay. Same with Seth Rogan. Those sheep dogs through the years have enabled him to make stupid stoner comedy movies.
