Not sure how apples came to be THE fruit so to speak. They aren't fun to eat unless they are in a pie or some other baked good. Much better fruits out there

Sadly the supermarkets for the most part only carry the worst varieties. My personal favorite is the Northern Spy but the only place I ever get them is at an orchard's roadside stand just outside of Wells River Vt. A lot of the heritage varieties are great eating apples as well but don't have the curb appeal of the shittiest apple going, the red delicious. |
