Nah I wish. This is all before I was born. Stealing the pics from www.grayflannelsuit.net/ and the stats from www.pro-football-reference.com/. If I can figure out a good way to get the box scores to look right here I am going to go back and add them for each game. Cut and paste looks horrible.

I really like the old cartoon styled ones. I am going to go back and download all of the covers from all of the AFL games, pick out the best ones and have them rotate as my background images on my PC for a while.

1966

1966 was a momentous year for professional football in North America, for it was the year that the AFL and NFL agreed to merge operations. The merger's first fruit was a championship game played between the winners of the respective leagues. The AFL champion Kansas City Chiefs, as history tells us, were flattened by Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers in what later became known as Super Bowl I.

Elsewhere, the Miami Dolphins officially took the field as the AFL's ninth franchise. They called the Orange Bowl home for their entire AFL existence, and stayed until the 1987 NFL season.

The Oakland Raiders finally found a permanent home in the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, where they stayed until they moved (temporarily) to Los Angeles in 1982.
