Where were you stationed what outfit? Obviously a marine its either there or san diego right? Battalion? 1st Battallion I wasn't a Hollywood marine, I went through Parris Island MCRD. Was a very lucky peacetime reservist. Ah ok, because the way you said you were there and I just read a book made me think you could drop some knowledge on me. I was up in lakeview in 94 a prison bootcamp when I was a young man and after a life in orphanages juvey hall halfway houses and a short stint in south oaks in amityville, I finally found some kind of structure I truly believed in. Upon leaving I walked right from the bus to the marine recruiter on atlantic ave in bklyn to sign up, unfortunately psych wouldn't clear me from my time on sw2B in south oaks. So I went on to bigger and better prisons, took a bullet in the head at 19, a shank 14 times to both lungs and my kidney at 24 and I always hated the marines for turning me down. Then I spent 2 years in a 6 by 10 box with a guy named Gary a Vietnam vet gunnery sgt, who started to turn my warped value system around. He died about 5 years ago great guy, with some amazing stories was like a father to me. Even in prison he called himself a marine , a marine never retires once a marine always a marine, im sorry I didn't get a chance to experience that life, probably would have had alot of less headaches getting myself turned around. So I read more then just a Book..just clear that up

Anyhow I support neither party anymore. If a true change is to happen we need someone like Samuel Jackson calling the fucking shots I side with the Libertarian platform for the most part. Less government on both sides of the aisle, social and fiscal. Sure they have some kooks but who doesn't? Just for starters Stay out of people's lives if they aren't hurting anyone. Stop trying to protect people from themselves. Educate them about drugs and help them if they screw up but don't put them in jail for nonviolent crimes. Stop being the global police. Get our shit together first. It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world. GEORGE WASHINGTON, Farewell Address to the People of the United States Stop taxing the hell out of our population to pay for folly. All spending should be cut including the sacred cows. Clean up the legal and tax system. Revoke laws that don't make sense. Simplify laws and regulations so that can be followed. I like your thought of Samuel L Jackson (movie persona) for president. Would be a hysterical movie. Watching him Mother F'ing at world leaders etc. What we truly need is men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams who aren't in it for personal gain but to build a new country. Yes they had flaws and disagreed with each other as they were human but they really believed in the concept of democracy and their vision for America. It is amazing to me that Washington had the chance to be king and set up his family for life (or until the next revolution). Instead he setup a system where he would not run again after 2 terms. Any lesser man would have seized the opportunity and history would have been forever changed. We as a people have willingly stepped away from these ideals of freedom and personal responsibility for a false impression of safety and free stuff. How horrible is it that we may have yet another Clinton/Bush election in 2016? Lets move on to new people with new ideas. Those families have failed this country, how could we possibly consider more of the same and expect different results?

Yes that always fascinated me about Washington, It takes a special Individual to not accept being a King, guy like that only comes around 1 every 1000 years. Te Bush and Clintons are done, If they somehow manage to pull this off something is very very wrong in this country, and our Citizens will prove to be absolute fucking Morons, not a huge surprise but worth noting, I always thought their should be some sort of test every 2 years to make sure you were the least bit educated, before they send you in the box, to wreak havoc on the country for the next 4 years.

I feel we need someone willing to set term limits on all federally elected positions. These lifers are obviously not in it for the people.

I never said he was formally offered a chance but there were those that would have had it that way and he was so popular that if he were so disposed I am sure it could have happened. www.pbs.org/georgewashington/classroom/rule_of_law2.html
