Jean Sifrin is bombing right now. He needed to have a strong combine since he's already 27. It was kind of hard to watch. You could tell he was really nervous. They should have given his spot to someone more worthy. He has zero chance of being drafted. Agreed. I can't see him being drafted at all. The fact that he was invited to the combine speaks volumes about how bad this TE class.

Unfortunately because of new baby and shitty work, i'm going to be able to catch maybe tomorrow and that's about it though... relying on you guys for observations.. My two favorite TEs that i've been pushing since the fall were Wes Saxton and MyCole Pruitt - good see them catching your attention... I had MyCole as our target for our 7th round pick in my mock draft a few weeks ago. Saxton, he's going to be plucked off the board by the 4th at the latest i think.

I think his 40 time today bumps him up to the 5th or 6th round now. They had a quirky stat today about TEs that run sub 4.6 40s. They said out of the last 20 that have ran under 4.6 only one wasn't drafted. Also like 15 or 18 out the 20 had 5 or more TDs in a season. Hopefully we can trade back with one of our picks in rounds 2-4 to pick up a few extra one. This draft might not be as deep as last year, but there will be quite a few quality players available in the later rounds. Also NFL.com should have video of all or most the combine events today.

Good call on these sleeper TE's very early in the process. This whole TE class looks like shit and I wouldn't be surprised if the first one goes off the board in the third.....it's that bad. Oleary looked very fluid and I wouldn't touch him until the 6th round if at all. Only guy I like earlier is Walford. The OLine pool is deep at every position and we need too address it, hopefully at the T position. Flowers looked like he was going to trip over himself and Peat has some freakish lower body but got gassed in the drills. Both guys are still 20yo but I see Flowers falling into the second. Peat still reminds me of Roaf with a similar build. Tomorrow is the big day for most of us, or at least myself and hopefully Mac. QB's, WR's, and RB's although I'm not very interested in how the QB's perform. I can't wait for the Wr's and RB's personally because tomorrow should help sort things out.

Gonna miss the biggest day of the combine for some ABBA show. Every once in a while I need to put the wife and daughter ahead of football.

I'm almost in the same boat because the ol lady finally has a saturday off and I'll be doing the usual 5-6 miles with the dog in the morning. I promised her lunch out but how can she turn down dinner instead.

Time to watch some Fisher tape next week. He looked incredible today....not sure why Mayock considers him a RT.

Risers and sliders from today according Tony Pauline. Can't really disagree with much-- although I really didn't notice Jamil Douglas and I am not sure I would consider Maxx Williams a riser -- he is still a 2nd/3rd round prospect in my mind:
Risers
T Jake Fisher, Oregon: Fisher was the biggest winner from the offensive line group Friday morning. He was surprisingly athletic, posting a 40-yard dash time near five seconds flat as well as a short shuttle mark of 4.33 seconds, one of the best from the offensive line group. Later, he looked smooth moving around the field and showed terrific balance and body control.
T Mitch Morse, Missouri: Morse was another who surprised scouts with his athleticism. His 36 reps on the bench was the top mark from the offensive linemen. Morse showed quick, smooth footwork during drills and quelled some of the concerns surrounding his ability to hold down the left tackle position.
G Jamil Douglas, Arizona State: Douglas was another who impressed scouts with a combination of athleticism and power. His time in the 40-yard dash (5.25) included a 10-yard split of 1.70-seconds, one on the best from the offensive line group. Douglas was quick and explosive in all the drills and showed great power in the bag drills.
G Ali Marpet, Hobart: Marpet continues to build on the momentum he started at the Senior Bowl and further improved his draft stock Friday. His 5-flat time in the 40 was the fastest of any offensive lineman and Marpet also turned in one of the better 10-yard splits. His times of 7.33 seconds in the cone and 4.47 seconds in the shuttle also ranked in the top five. Marpet once again impressed scouts during position drills and continued his assault up draft boards.
OL Cameron Erving, Florida State: Erving stood out at both center and tackle. He showed solid footwork in pass protection drills and looked smooth moving on his feet after snapping the ball. Erving's 30 reps on the bench and his broad jump of 9-8 were impressive.
T D.J. Humphries, Florida: The junior left tackle did nothing to diminish his rising draft stock. He posted 26 reps on the bench, not a great number but a solid mark for a blocker whose strength has been knocked. Humphries later looked good clocking near 5.10 in the 40-yard dash and posting solid shuttle/3-cone times. He looked athletic during drills, displaying quick feet and easy movement skills.
TE Maxx Williams, Minnesota: Williams stood out amongst a bunch of disappointing tight ends. Though he ran a pedestrian 4.8 in the 40-yard dash, Williams practiced significantly faster. He caught the deep pass well, looking natural grabbing the ball from the air. His results in the vertical jump, broad jump and short shuttle ranked amongst the best in the tight end group.
Sliders
C B.J. Finney, Kansas State: After looking dominant during the Shrine Game, Finney looked sloppy and pedestrian at the Combine. He looked poorly conditioned, was slow afoot and showed poor footwork in pass protection drills.
T Rob Crisp, N.C. State: Crisp looked slow and sluggish from the get-go. His testing marks were solid but during drills Crisp looked heavy footed and struggled moving around the field.

Time to watch some Fisher tape next week. He looked incredible today....not sure why Mayock considers him a RT. Same here. I'm shocked how polished he is for someone who used to be a TE recently. Also on another board I read some Oregon fans said he struggles with holding and takes a lot of penalties, but I'm sure he could clean that up with the proper coaching.

He's been getting hype recently and deservedly so after todays performance. Not many guys that big can move like that and he also comes from a top notch program.

I did not think he would touch the 4.3s he just made himself even more money. All the top WRs ran really well today.

@cbs11billjones: According to Rich Eisen, Steve Mariucci says Jameis Winston is "most astute x's & o's guy he's ever put on the board" at combine.
