Good Morning Jet fans...
On this day in 1997 The Jets hired Mike Tannenbaum as Director of Player Contract negotiations.
Mike eventually was the Jets GM.
Also, on this date in 2013 the Jets released LB Bart Scott and Eric Smith.

Have a winning day Jets fans!!!! These two items are kind of related. Tanny's spending had the Jets in cap hell during that 2013 offseason and we needed to make the cuts to get under the cap before the start of the new league year. We also made several other cuts that day -- Calvin Pace, Jason Smith & Josh Baker which freed up $30MM cap space. Pace would be brought back in April on a one-year deal. Eric Smith joined Rex in Buffalo last month as an assistant ST coach. |

Although I hardly everpost.I do however read this thread as often as I can.. Great stuff.. Also, The hamper is full of real knowledgeable fans.. Learn alot of things I never thought of.. Thank You.. It's appreciated..
