Jets bypass both RB and WR in the first round. We are faced with the prospect of drafting either Gurley and DGB in the second. Who do you like and why....or is there a third choice. For myself, there isn't any other choice because I would be forced too choose between those two players if they are available.
My biggest gut wrenching pick would be Gurley. He has everything you want in a back.....great vision, speed, size, hands, drags tacklers, but he's coming off of an acl and has been dinged up.
DGB....the sky is the limit but the character concerns have to figure into any selection.
Very tough decision either way, I'd be happy with either because they are both top 10 talents without the question marks.

Hmmm. I think I go DGB in that scenario. Mainly because I think the drop off from DGB to the best available WR that could be sitting there in the following rounds is much greater than the drop off from Gurley to best available RB.

That is a really hard choice, but I agree. I would go with Gurley there. Then try trade up back into the middle/end of round 2 for Justin Hardy/Agholor. I wouldn't complain about either and if we do took Gurley Laquon Treadwell will be at the top of my wish list in 2016. Actually even if we take Cooper/Parker/White he will probably still be at the top of my wishlist unless we manage to grab Parker/Cooper/White and DGB/Strong in rounds 1-2 this year haha.

A month ago, this was a legit question as it appeared both were poised to probably be there... The way things are trending, they'll both be gone. As they should.
Things could change with Gurley's medical and DGB's interviews - but i'd surprised if either was there. They're the top 2 prospects in the entire draft excluding other variables. I'd hate to chose one or the other, but would definitely side with DGB. Gurley's a hell of talent, and a homerun hitting machine - but realistically, he's a injury liability. And and at least in the immediate future, I think Ivory and Spiller can give you the production you need. DGB is.... *shuffles his pants*... well, let's just say as long as I've been watching the jets, we've never had a Lord Humongous on our roster like him.
Marcus Peters is starting to become a name to put in this conversation... probably not for us, but as far as prospects go, he's light years above the competition at Corner in this class and marked with the same questions as Dorial.

I just posted a link in the other thread. We're meeting with Peters. It doesn't shock me since we need corners and the Cardinals drafted Tyrann Mathieu after he was kicked off his team.

I saw that we met with him. I thought that was interesting, but ultimately i have a hard seeing how he ends up with us. A lot teams will be doing their homework on him, and with top 15 talent, if even one team feels like Peters has grown up, he'll be gone in the first.

Good responses but even if we throw Peters into the conversation, I'm still about Gurley and DGB.
They all have some off field concerns,....Gurley minor bullshit.....DGB has legit concerns but I feel overblown and sensationalized....Peters is a fuckin nutcase.

i feel funky about investing anything higher than a 4th for a RB. trent richardson. Gio Bernard #37 overall, Levon Bell #47 overall, Eddie Lacy #61 overall, Demarco Murray #71 overall, Lesean Mccoy #53 overall and Jamaal Charles #73 overall. Some of the best RBs in the league have been taken in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. This is a STRONG RB class.

He did amazing at the Senior Bowl, but I'm not sure if the gap between Parker and Strong is as big from Ray and Orchard. It might be though. If Dupree dropped to us in round 2 I'd probably take Parker and Dupree over Ray and Strong.
