Good March Jets fans!
Today on this day in 1981 former Jet Anthony Schlegel was born in Cedar Rapids IA.
He played for the Jets in 2005 as a LB.
Happy Birthday Anthony!!!
Also on this date in 2007 the Jets resigned WR Jericho Cotchery. I always like the way Cotch played.
sorry for no post yesterday...travel day..
Have a groovy day Jet fans..

March 1, 1999: Vinny Testaverde signs a 3-year contract extension. A year earlier, Vinny signed a free agent contract with the Jets and led them to a 12-1 record in the 13 regular season games he started on the way to a AFCCG appearance. Typical Jets luck, Vinny ruptured his achilles in the first regular season game of the 1999 season, and a potential championship season was lost to injury as the Jets finished 1999 with an 8-8 record.

I miss Cotchery. Haven't had a receiver as reliable as him since, he was still killing it on the Steelers and now Panthers too.

Jericho Cotchery, best name in football. So what's the real story why he left the Famous Jets? He was a good one, and could not believe he got away.

One more note to add to last year's thread. 3/1/2008: The Jets sign free agent guard Alan Faneca. Faneca signed a 5 year $40 million free agent contract with the Jets. He went on to be the Jets starting guard for two seasons (2008 & 09) before being released prior to the 2010 season. He signed with the Cardinals in 2010 and played there fro one season before retiring.
