USPS delivered my wife's new Kindle yesterday, but after the scheduled time. How were either of you able to function? In your circumstance, I would have been an inconsolable mess. Your post really made me laugh. Just great. lol |

After a fruitless 15 minutes attempting to convince the paint clerk at my local Benjamin Moore that I wanted the tinting of their "sea pearl white" to project more of its opaque characteristic, I had to settle for a glossier finish. Now, the "what if" of my foyer makeover will always haunt me.

Must the volunteer fire department blare their alarm sirens endlessly at all hours of the night or weekend mornings? What don't they comprehend about the importance of a proper night's rest? Surely, science must have the ability to restrict fires, and other emergencies, to business hours.

My dickhead neighbor went at his driveway with the snowblower at 9:30 last night. My kids go to bed at 8pm. They didn't wake up, but my wife did flip him off.

Has the world gone mad with the untold choices for daily moisturizing? I venture down the aisle offering a staggering array of humectants and find myself in an absolute tizzy. So severe, in fact, that I must immediately withdraw to the nearest Starbuck's, or similar establishment, for a restorative caramel macchiato and any available tea cake.

After what one would assume to be a buying frenzy of epic proportion, the only half & half available to me was the store brand
with the pinch-to-open mechanism rather than the more civilised plastic pour spout. Now, I must expend all that extra energy to lighten my coffee.
The gods are against me today.
