Is the 4th round too high for him though? That's the question isn't it? ...I never saw him as anything more than a round 6-7 guy. 5 if you love him. Maybe that's what they're there to find out. Agreed. No 5th or 6th round picks hurts if you are looking at these type of players.

Nice. When it comes to value, Boyle is hands down my favorite true inline TE this year. I feel like you can plug him in year 1 and he would hold his own. Is the 4th round too high for him though? With our other needs, I think 4 is too high for him. If he is there in the 7th, I am all over him.

@tonypauline: Personal Observation: I'm a Marcus Mariota guy but not impressed with this workout in early going. Looks stiff, mechanical and timing off Can we finally stop talking about this guy like he's an "obvious" choice at 6? (not that he makes it that far) Why? Because of a lackluster pro-day workout? I'm sure the Browns and several other teams are punching themselves in the balls for letting Bridgewater's pro-day influence their decision. Mariota isn't some sure thing, but to me it would be a waste to squander away the last years of Revis, Cro, Mangold, Brick, etc because you're still dicking around with the likes of Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick behind center. Guys like Fowler, White, Ray, etc are just as big of risks as Mariota. Except Mariota is the one guy who can truly take your team to new heights if he pans out.

False. 1--we'll be dicking around with Mariota's development all throughout your critical "last days" of Revis mangold etc. 2--Bridgewater's proday was an oddity because it didn't reflect the game tape. Mariota's possibly validated pre-existing concerns. 3--I'd rather try Gailey's system with Geno, and if need be, bandaide to be Fitz - then go down the rushed rookie road again. Especially with a guy who needs time. 4--Ray, Fowler etc are sooooooooooooo not the same risk as mariota. I shouldn't even have to explain why. Both in gravity and probability. Best case scenario for us, is that Geno is at least serviceable with Gailey so we can draft someone later this year, or next year - and not rush them. If that guy was Mariota, the only thing barring him for opening day one as the starter, would be if Geno threw 50 TDs in the preseason.

Didn't see anything on here about DGB's proday... thoughts? Bucky's write up on NFL.com was decent. Particularly the part about his character and OU's coaching staff was interesting.

Particularly the part about his character and OU's coaching staff was interesting. 2015 NFL Draft: Green-Beckham shows off skills at Sooners' pro day By Dane Brugler | NFLDraftScout.com Senior Analyst
For the first time since arriving in Norman, wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham was able to show his skills for NFL teams while wearing an Oklahoma uniform. The talented pass catcher and several other pro hopefuls worked out at Oklahoma's pro day on Wednesday in front of representatives from 30 NFL teams. Most of Oklahoma's notable prospects stood on their NFL Combine numbers, including Green-Beckham, but they participated in positional drills. During his workout, Green-Beckham impressed with his long-striding speed and route acceleration, cutting with quickness and power in his breaks. He also caught the ball well and flashed the NFL potential that might land him in the first round, despite his off-field rap sheet. Green-Beckham transferred to Oklahoma last summer after his dismissal from Missouri, but his waiver to play in 2014 was denied by the NCAA. “I've been working hard this year,” Green-Beckham said after his workout Wednesday. “I know that I'm ready to get to the next step. I felt like I improved on the field, with my academic studies, took advantage of everything. I didn't take days off.” At the NFL Scouting Combine, Green-Beckham posted a 4.49 40-yard dash, 33.5-inch vertical, 9-feet-11 broad jump, 4.45 short shuttle, 6.89 three-cone drill and 13 reps on the bench press. But the bigger test in Indianapolis came in the meeting rooms where he did his best to answer concerns about his issues off the field, which include multiple drug arrests. “At the Combine I got a lot of questions,” Green-Beckham said. “Overall I got great feedback about it, just showing honesty and showing you're accountable. That's the main thing they want to see. They want to know what really happened, that's when you have to confess to everything and let them know what went on.” Green-Beckham caught passes from former Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton, who is now a graduate assistant for the Sooners. He also threw to a pair of Oklahoma tight ends at the school's pro day, although neither started their college careers at the position: Blake Bell and Geneo Grissom. A former top quarterback recruit, Bell was “a tad robotic” in his routes but looked natural catching the ball on Wednesday, according to a scout in attendance. Moving to tight end for his senior season, he posted only 16 catches, but showed intriguing potential, especially as a red zone target. Grissom played the majority of his career at defensive end, but spent his sophomore season in 2012 at tight end in an attempt to get on the field. He didn't finish his career with any catches, but Grissom showed off his pass-catching ability on Wednesday and improved his broad jump number from the Combine (9-feet-10). Cornerback Julian Wilson, who looks the part at 6-2 and 205 pounds, ran a disappointing 40-yard dash (4.58) at the NFL Combine, but improved that number at the Sooners' pro day, running in the 4.44-4.49 range. With his size and speed, Wilson is an intriguing late round option, fitting the mold of what teams like the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers seek at the position.

Another guy that killed his pro day was Zadarius Smith from Kentucky. They mentioned he looked good in LB drills and came in a rock solid 274. I remember him dominating the shrine game and doing very well at the senior bowl. He's someone we need to keep an eye on.

I heard the same thing, Dupree is getting all the attention but Smith is putting together some really good workouts.

Any word on when he is going to let NFL team doctors start evaluating him? He didn't allow it at the combine, wonder if he allows it during his official visits?

Any word on when he is going to let NFL team doctors start evaluating him? He didn't allow it at the combine, wonder if he allows it during his official visits? I haven't heard anything. I believe he did meet with the Lions medical staff during his visit this week, but I am not sure if he allowed a full examination of the knee.
