There needs to be a veteran alternative to Geno. And that's even if you bring in a young Mariota. There is no guarantee that geno will pick up the offense in TC. Having Fitz or a matt Moore is important for this team.

Fitzpatrick? I want nothing to do with this guy, he was the only guaranteed win for the Jets when they played against him.
Seriously I cannot imagine going to watch him play QB for my team.

He's not going to set the world on fire, but he's done well in CGs offense. At the very least, if geno can't hack it we have an actual qb to throw out there. Would prefer Moore but I'd be fine with Fitz.

I'm not sure what people are expecting to find on this QB free agent trash heap. You are not finding a viable long term starter here, just stop gap guys who could play OK in short spurts.
