TEAM DYNAMIC:
Offense: Geno & Fitz (not ideal, but Gailey will make it work). Flyer on Bennett. See how he looks in practices for 2016 Running game lead by Ivory & Gordon... P.Thomas in on 3rd and longs. WR corps featuring Decker/Marshall/Kerley/Lloyd with Lewis as an understudy Oline gets better with Carpenter and Collins. Massive upgrade at Guards Tight Ends - bolstered by Gresham inline, and Jace spread out. Casey in on packages and ST.
Defense: Versatile scheme upfront that has Richardson, Wilkerson, Harrison and Coples/Graham at DE on 40 fronts Pass rush gets an upgrade with Graham and Dupree Revis, Cro headline the secondary with Milliner/McDougal and Ifo competing for snaps. Pryor and Jarrett will try to sort out the safety situation.
Final thoughts -- Gailey and Geno will have no excuses. Huge talent infusion... while on Defense Bowles orchestrates an aggressive defensive front that terrorizes QB leaving the new secondary to hold the fort.

I'll give it an A+ for addressing our needs, love the upgrade from Cumberland to Gresham. I would like to substitute a couple of different free agent pick-ups but overall I think it's solid and realistic. Getting the #12 AND #19 for our #6 would be a coup but not out of the realm of possibilities and I would pull the trigger on that trade in a nano second.
Now I'll pick the draft apart:
I'll take Peat over Collins because he could be a true replacement for Brick. I have no problems with Gordon at 19 and like that pick. Would love Bud in the second but do you really think he falls that far? I mean it's possible with the abundance of edge rushers but not plausible, at least in my mind. 3rd round I'm not sold on Ifo because he's another injured player that is too small. I would shore up the offensive line yet again and draft Donovan Smith, RT from Penn State. Now we just drafted our future bookends in the same draft and gives us a ton of versatility going forward. I like both the 4th and 7th rounders....no complaints.

After being the Hot guy I'd like to blowed recipient in trades that saw CLE losing Watkins, and Julio, i think they'll take the active approach this time and go get the right guy. They got nothing out of the Julio trade, and selecting Justin Gilbert (who's been lockerroom fodder apparently) instead of Watkins, the browns would be wise to turn the tables around. Dupree could easily go in the first, but someone's falling into round 2. I just don't see every edge rusher going in round 1. He's not a sure-thing, he'd the one if someone slips. I wrestled with Agholor in rnd 3, but think he'll be gone. Ifo represented value

In the draft, I would probably go Beasley at 12 instead of Collins and then either Peat or Jake Fisher in the 2nd. I think Cleveland is definitely a potential trading partner, but we might have to throw in another late round pick to get both of their 1s. If they are willing to do that to go get Cooper, I would do it in a heartbeat, but I think it might take more to get 12 & 19.
I like what you are suggesting in FA. Would prefer Iupati to Carpenter, but if we strike out on him, Carpenter or Boling are both solid alternatives. I still find it hard to believe that Revis could end up here. I will believe that one when or if I see it. I think it is more likely that we see Cro paired with a lower tier FA like Cox, Culliver, House, Skrine, etc.

Nice write up, good overall plan. I just don't see Cleveland being that desperate that they trade away their other first round pick to move up 6 spots. That's almost twice the market value for that kind of move. They can stand pat and still get a guy like Strong if they wanted.
Plus, I don't know why WR is all of a sudden off the board for the Jets at pick 6. Does trading for Marshall really change anything? Other than going from incredibly desperate for WR help to just desperate, I don't see how that would dramatically change their draft board. It's not like Marshall is 26, he is 31. I still think it is smart to draft a guy if he is there at 6, otherwise if Marshall goes batshit crazy again and you release him next year, the Jets are in the same position again with little WR depth.

I wouldn't say WR is off the board at all. It shouldn't be anyway... this was just me exploring the notion of trading down. If we stay pat, I expect us to wrestle with an OLB or WR.... I almost slotted Hardy there in Rnd 2 (cause that would be my preferred move) but i thought after going offense on back to back 1s, and Dupree still there, it made more sense.

I agree, my comment wasn't directed at you specifically but rather to the masses that are now suggesting that WR isn't in the conversation at 6. How good would Cooper look in a 3 wide situation with Decker and Marshall outside? Cooper would feast on slot corners and safeties, I would love that match up.

Id say Marshall's 2 years left on his contract is about how long his career lasts as well. He's been (smartly) prepping his career for a media transition, as well as his work with bipolar foundations... So at 33 i think he hangs him up. At that point, Decker's best years will be behind him as well...
So we ought to be getting on top of that now. Cooper would instantly move Decker into the slot where's done well in the past. Same with Parker. I think DGB would be someone they'd work on hte fundamentals largely in year 1, so that also works well.
As far as instant optimization, I like Hardy. He can start week 1 in the slot, and keep Decker and Marshall outside. Boom.

I like it a lot, and would love to grab Cleveland's two 1st. However, I think we'd have to trade them our second and grab their 3rd or swap 2nds to make it work. Collins is pretty underrated and even though I like Peat better I'd be happy with him. Then taking Gordon, yes please haha. The other picks are great too. Oh and I know you love Pettigrew, but I wouldn't be shocked if we signed Rob Housler from the Cards instead. Either of them would be a good pick up.
I have a sneaking feeling though that we'll wind up with: 1) Dante Fowler Jr. 2) Marcus Peters 3) Tre McBride 4) Paul Dawson

I've always been a Housler fan, and if i had my say - we'd have at least 2 move TEs on the roster... but i see management probably prioritizing an inline guy.
Fowler Peters McBride and Dawson works for me, but i'd be preferential to Rollins or Hardy in rnd 2. I slotted ifo to us in 3 based on value, but after the disasterpiece that was Milliner and McDougal I wonder what kind corners they'll be looking at. Dangerous for new management to tie themselves to an injured player or off field concerns... i hope they're able to look past that with DGB tho

I was close... i thought we would have thrown the Skrine/Gilchrist money at an OLB... still a couple decent options but that definitely appears to be something Todd is thinking of exploring with our Draft picks.
