Ooooooooooohhhhhhhh......who will Revis pick?
It's the NFL version of The Bachelor.
I think if Woody wants him bad enough he will get him.
BB has a cap on what he'll spend, Woody doesn't.

+1 It's all about the Benjamin's, not that I blame him if someone is willing to pony up. Buncha *Flats* commenters on Comcast NE, are hoping he will give Belicheat a hometown discount OR NE will pay huge coin to get him to stay by 4pm today. They don't think he'll look around. They don't know Mevis, do they? If he stays true to form, Mevis will go with the highest bidder. True, Revis gave NE a discount last year when he played for 12M. They won a Super Bowl and now they think Revis will give them another discount?? Those NE fans are a funny bunch, Revis wants to be paid. especially since he may have put them over the top. he finally has the 'proof' that what he contributes actually can help win a championship (along with brady, etc).

Not sure what their cap situation is, but MIke Pettine and the Browns may be entering the Revis sweepstakes. Revis and Haden -- that would be nasty.

I've made it clear I won't see him the same if he comes back.
However I accept it's a major coup and the highest upgrade at a need position if we get him.
He has a choice, go into the HOF as a Jet or Pat, what's it goin to be Darelle?

if they get revis, and milliner and mcdougle stay healthy, they actually would have a nice secondary, esp. if pryor is used properly. lots of ifs.

I'd be fine with him coming back on a short term cash deal. Say 2 years in the mid teens per year, but my fear is that they get suckered into a long term big cap money/bonus contract for a 30 year old player. I don't get that logic though, what is the real benefit of paying Revis 15M per year for the next two years? So when the Jets are actually ready to make a deep playoff run we have to go through this whole process of signing Revis again? If you are going to sign him, then sign him and structure it as a long term deal, otherwise Revis will just hold you hostage again when the team starts winning. Because Revis is always going to look to hold you hostage again. If you sign him to a long term deal in two years either he is starting to show his age and no longer worth the money you've committed (Long term deal will mean long term cap problems from bonus$) or if he is not showing his age he will want a new deal and new signing money in two years anyway. Revis has made it clear that he is a prostitute, so pay him and use him. Don't marry him!

Screw the past. Its about winning. If the price is right and the terms are right and he can help us win, I bring him back. Everything else is water under the bridge.
Bang the whore with both eyes open #signrevis

I don’t know jack about contracts and cap management, but I don’t want to throw the bank at him. You still have 4 other guys running routes to worry about. Even Seattle got dinked and dunked to death in the 4th of the SB.
Love to have him back, but it won’t matter until we have a legit QB.

We had Jason Taylor here! Jason friggin Taylor.
If Revis wants to come back I would certainly welcome him. Remember, the Jets are the ones who traded him away, the Jets (Idzik) are the ones who did not pursue him last year when he was available.

Revis is a franchise unto himself. Like any high caliber professional he can come and go as he pleases as long as while he is here he plays to his fullest potential. One day there will be another Revis-like player until then get him and use him.
