Not sure if any of the other few guys who would chime in from time to time at JI came over here, but fuck it. Decent draw on the road to open the season at KC last weekend. I hate that they already have an off weekend (I'm convinced it's done purposely for Garber to promote the NYCFC home opener). New look team this year. I'm still fuming at the firing of Petke, but I do think the team will be competitive.

Not a huge soccer fan, but I've been to the last two Redbull vs NYCFC games and had a great time. Bradley Wright Phillips is a beast. I'm thinking about getting season tickets next year with my friend. $300 something is a great deal. I'm still fuming at the firing of Petke My friend was telling me that a lot of fans were pissed about it and didn't want to re-up their season tickets, but the new coach is doing a great job. You might not have the best talent, but you have crazy chemistry.

Nice to hear someone new enjoying the experience and considering purchase season tickets. As a fan of baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and soccer, in my eyes, season tickets for RBNY are the best value in the area. Incredibly inexpensive and a great atmosphere, one that is just different than the rest of the sports. Marsch has definitely won over a lot of supporters. He's implemented a very uptempo, agressive style of play, and makes timely substitutions. He's done a remarkable job getting this club to gel and having them sitting in 2nd in the east with their payroll. Where did you sit for the games? I would recommend trying out one of the supporters sections at least once before selecting your seats for a season ticket package. It's not for everyone, but checking out the experience is worth it.

It's not for everyone, but checking out the experience is worth it. For the one at Yankee stadium we were surrounded by NYCFC fans, but moved to the supporter section. Then on Sunday we sat to the right of the supporter section in the corner. If I got season tickets I'd definitely moved into the supporter section. You're right the atmosphere is just different than other sports. Even when you walk into the stadium you're like wow and then the chants are great. I'll probably be at the RBNY vs DC United game. Have you been to any this year or are going to any?

I'm a season ticket holder in section 133 (in the south ward) for the past 3 years. I think the only game I've missed this year is the Real Salt Lake one a couple months back. I'll definitely be there for the DC game on the 30th. You should definitely look to get tickets in one of the supporters sections for that one, being it's a huge rivalry game.

I may not know much that's going on, but it's a lot of fun.

Welcome aboard. I started casually watching the team about 10 years ago and over time I've grown to be a die hard, right at the same level as the Jets, Yankees, Devils, and Knicks. An extra pat on the back for you for showing interest in RBNY, when those fucktards in the Bronx are the new, shiny toy that is "hip" to follow at the moment.

Oh, I forgot to mention even Bart Scott was at the RBNY vs NYCFC game. When my friend and I were walking in we saw a white Ferrari parked outside, and he got out of it. Idk who he was rooting for, but I thought it was pretty cool that he was at a soccer game.

A friend of mine that was at the game in a different section actually told me they saw him too, that's pretty funny. I also saw Melo at the US Open Cup match against the Cosmos about a couple months or so ago.

One of the best games I've been to in my 9 years of following the club. Went down to DC for the first leg, as well. Our supporters rocked the upper deck at RFK to the point it felt unsafe. That place is a shithole.

That sounds awesome! I haven't been to any recently because of work. There's a game this weekend right? If there is I think my friend and I are going to it. I'll probably buy season tickets next year.

Then the MLS Cup will be here on December 6th, if NY advances through the conference finals.

I could have sworn he said something about the Red Bulls this weekend, and I was like awesome since the Jets game is on Thursday we can go to both. I'm sure we'll be at the game on the 29th then. Do you plan on going?
