Good day fellow NYJ fans....
on this day in 1951 One of my favorite Jets was born.... Carl Joseph Barzilauskas was born in Waterbury, CT.
Carl played for the Jets from 1974-1977 and was a hell of a DT.
He was a very large man for the time....
Happy Birthday Carl!!!!!
Have a huge day Jets fans....

Have a huge day Jets fans.... I remember him -- 6th overall pick in the draft out of Indiana. Starter for a few years, but never lived up to his draft status. This year will be the 5th time that we have the 6th overall pick, the last 4 include a Hall of Famer (John Riggins) a starting QB (Richard Todd) a starting lineman (Barzilauskas) and an all-time bust (Gholston). Time for another hall of famer.
