If anyone was questioning this kids intelligence or character, you now have an answer. He tested positive for weed, which isn't that bad, but given every prospect knows that there will be a drug test combine, only the dumbest of the dumb fail that test. What makes it worse is that he had drug issues coming out of HS and early in college, if he can't stay clean for a few weeks in Febuary then you really have to question the kids intelligence. Most scouts and NFL personnel call the combine drug test the "idiot test".

Blessing in disguise?
Maybe he'll fall to the third round like Justin Houston and we can draft him there. Mariotta in the 1st, Gordon/DGB in the 2nd, Gregory in the 3rd.
Sign me up.

Couldn't care less about a kid smoking weed but if you don't have the discipline to lay off for just a few weeks with million of dollars at stake then I think that does speak to your mental makeup. Shows immaturity and lack of appreciation or respect for the situation you are in. That said, this will only impact his wallet. He still may end up becoming a very good player.

FWIW, he said the last time he smoked was December and that it was still in his system. I think that's only possible if he was smoking weed essentially everyday up to January. That's a lot of weed.

Highly doubt if the last time he smoked was in December that he would test positive. The molecules stay in your fat and when you burn fat they are released into your blood steam hence people testing positive a month after their last toke.
I use to be a heavy smoker and not in the greatest shape and I would piss clean in a month after stopping. Gregory was probably smoking the week before and not giving a fuck. Good for us since I never wanted him, bad for him as he's lost a few mil in the process.

Yeah I agree...at most it will last two months, but that's if you are obese and out of shape. Plus they should tell with the concentration level how heavily he has smoked as well as how recent... That being said looks like the Jets are showing interest still...hope that's a smokescreen and a team like the Giants or Falcons want to trade up for him.
