Minor earthquake hit Northern Illinois last night, and I live right at the epicenter. Bizarre.
We are eating dinner last night and hear what sounds like an explosion and the house starts shaking for a few seconds. Checked the house, inside and out and don't see anything. My daughter says it must be an earthquake -- we tell her she is crazy, we don't get earthquakes. An hour or two later we see the update on the news. The epicenter was less than a mile from my house.
