Good day Fellow Jet fans..
On this day in 1941 Former Jets great, kicker Jim Turner was born in Martinez, CA.
Jim kicked for the Jets from 1964-1970.
His efforts in the early Jet years helped put the team on the map.
Good ole no. 11 for the Jets played for Denver from 1970-1979 and when he retired he had logged 228 games....
Happy Birthday Mr. Turner.
Have a groovy day Jets fans...

March 28 has been a quiet day in Jet history, all I could find was a couple of minor free agent signings:
3/28/90: Jets signed free agent DB Michael Mayes. Mayes had been a 4th round pick of the Saints out of LSU in 89. He only played 1 season with the Jets, 1990, playing in all 16 games, but starting just 2. He had 1 interception with the Jets, the only 1 of his brief NFL career. It came in a 37-13 victory in New England.
3/28/07: Jets re-signed restricted free agent LB Cody Spencer. The Jets had signed Spencer as a free agent the season before. He had beena core special teams player for the Titans, which is the role he filled for the Jets, playing primarily on STs. He played in 27 games for the Jets over 3 seasons.
