I'm fairly convinced the Jets are going to try to get a starting RB out of this Draft class, likely with either their 2nd or 3rd round pick. Who is your favorite after the two "consensus" top RBs in Gurley and Gordon? Don't forget to hit the poll/pole.

Duke Johnson without a doubt. He's runs bigger than 5'9 209. He's got a great stiff arm, can cut on a dime, accelerate quickly, catch the ball, and is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball. He reminds me of Giovanni Bernard or could at least be our new Leon Washington. My only concern is his durability.

i'd say you guys all need a MRI, lol. Abdullah and Duke are both COP backs, and their stock is overrated. Abdullah is a fumbling machine, and Duke is a poor man's Best. I can understand wanting to add to our backfield, but we're looking at complete backs. Coleman's at least worth discussing but i feel stock is too high. He's not a YAC guy, and looks like DMC lite out there. David Cobb and David Johnson were strangely left off the list ( ), but ought to be on here as far as Jets potential candidates go. I'm not a Ajayi fan, but Yeldon's been growing on me,

He's not as fast and has a lot less wiggle in his hips. It's literally give him the ball and he sprints straight a head. Also I think you're underrating Johnson a little. He might not be a "true #1" RB, but if injuries don't stop him he has the talent to be a lead back with 20+ carries a game. Now I'm not saying he's a great as some of the players on this list, but look at the players he passed in Miami history. Johnson leaves behind him a very respectable list of accomplishments at Miami. Johnson set the Miami school records for most rushing yards for a career (3,519 yards, passing Ottis Anderson), yards per carry (6.69, previously held by Edgerrin James), all-purpose yards (5,526 yards, previously held by Santana Moss), and multiple kick return records. He also tied school records for most career 100-yard games (14, tied with Clinton Portis), consecutive 100-yard games (6, tied with Willis McGahee and Edgerrin James), longest run from scrimmage (90 yards, tied with Jake Losch) and most career kick return touchdowns (2, tied with Tim Morgan, Ottis Anderson and Devin Hester). He also broke Miami's true freshman records for most rushing yards and all purpose yards.

I gave a vote for Ajayi. Admittedly, I saw very little of him but am very intrigued by his size/speed and pass catching ability.

Ajayi for sure. He isn't ready to immediately be the bell cow given his lack of innate press and cut concepts. He'd be the best suited to sit a year behind Powell and Ivory where he can pick up the nuances of the position, rather than being thrown right in. I think he has the best potential outside of the top 2 guys.

I'm just a guy who loves his RBs to be 3 down backs if possible. I think we should be addressing that part of it before looking for a compliment. When the games on the line inside the 10, I don't know if Duke's the guy to make that play.

When the games on the line inside the 10, I don't know if Duke's the guy to make that play. Outside of Gordon and Gurley I don't think any RB in this draft will be a 3 down back. That's not to say they can't do it, but unless you're elite teams want to use running back committee. It's all about match ups in today's NFL. Maybe Cobb and a few other RBs are slightly better inside the 10, because they're bigger and more powerful. However, I still think Duke will be pretty effective inside the 10. Despite his size he's pretty powerful at 207. He fights for yards and can make people miss in tight spaces. He are some quotes from a Chargers blog that studied some of Dukes games. www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2015/1/7/7507097/duke-johnson-most-talented-running-back-in-the-draft

I am shocked that no one has picked Yeldon, he is another guy that is rising up the boards.

I am shocked that no one has picked Yeldon, he is another guy that is rising up the boards. One of the most overrated players in this class IMO. There are probably 8-10 RB's from this class that I would take ahead of Yeldon.
