Said this in the other Ridley thread, but I am very pleased with the Jets depth signings so far. Opens up a lot of options in the draft.

i for 1 like the move. he is a quality depth signing with potential. i think he will be a good number 2 behind ivory. powell is just a mediocre rb. Also this move doesnt stop us from drafting a guy in the 2nd or 3rd round if we choose to. This move gives Mac daddy the ability to go BPA in every round.

Blount has a worse per carry fumbling rate than Ridley. So I hope you enjoy the fumbling.

Spoken like a true NE Fan, of course it's never about the number of fumbles or where, when they happen... Because they simple don't happen when you cheat and deflate the balls.

@jeffphowe: Only 2 RBs (Forte, Rice) had more carries, yards and TDs with fewer fumbles than Ridley from 2011-14.

ugh... so long as we're not on the rope for millions. I'll take competition between him and Bilal this summer. I still want Gordon... or David Cobb/Johnson.. or one of the million other backs in the draft. A fumbling ACL'er doesn't inspire confidence.

I doubt we draft a RB now unless it's a late round flyer on someone.
I'm not the biggest Ridley fan but the Jets now have a solid rotation with him, Ivory and Powell.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Jets were able to move down in the 1st round and they take Gordon. They need a HB of the future and he's not on the roster and quite literally there won't be any RB with a contract post 2015.
Best case scenario. Move down with Browns, pick up #12 & #19. Take OLB/OT at #12 and Gordon at #19.
