Word on the street is that he just ran a 4.35 at his pro-day. I'd be shocked if he gets out of the early 2nd round now, if not sooner.

He's padded his stats in lesser games and relies way too much on straight line speed, and doesn't do enough after contact. I like him late in the 2nd or 3rd has a Darren McFadden lite kind of back. Gordon to me is a bonafide 1st round back.

RBs are nowhere near as good in the NFL because of how good the Wisc. running scheme is year in/year out?

They don't run an overly gimmicky scheme to make that kind of sweeping judgement. Monte Ball was always a low ceiling back to speak to recent draftees. Never thought much of him or James White. Gordon played lights out football against anyone. There's some pretty good film breakdown of his work out there if you look for it. I LOVE his vision and burst. I have him above Gurley when you account for Todd's injury history.

I totally agree with you on your Gurley/Gordon analysis. Tevin Coleman has lots of flaws but if a coaching staff teaches him to be patient and to let a play develop, I think he can be a good back in the NFL.

Is it me or does Melvin Gordon remind anyone a little bit of Curtis Martin but with more burst?

Yes, i don't mean to paint a picture thay Coleman is a dud or anything. Truth be it, hes actually a decent compliment to Ivory tho I can't speak to his receiving chops. I just think it's silly to put him the same category as gordon.

Hopefully he is there in round 3.
