Fucking 12 goals allowed in 2 goddamn games. Rangers have shown -- over these last two playoff seasons -- that they are one of those teams that are awfully hard to beat. Last year they were down to Pittsburgh and came back. This season, they were within about 90 seconds of elimination in 5 to Washington, and came back to win. If they are going to be beat in a close game, it seems like it has to be in OT (or with 1 second left like the game in Wash), because if they are down 1 late, they will find a way to get it tied. Give them time to come back and they will. I still expect this team to bounce back and play much better in their own end and win the series. Last night's game was a wildly entertaining hockey game (for a non-Ranger fan like myself). I am sure it was brutal to sit through for some of you guys. right, but if they don't tie this series up I don't give them a chance in hell against Tampa's offense. Every fucking power play is a goddamn pass-fest, it's sickening to watch. Always waiting for the one-timer or giving the defenseman time to get a stick in the lane or go for the block.

How the hell are you supposed to win playing like that? And that's not counting when Rangers score for the LIghtning when the LIghtning are shortanded by two!!!!! (UGH!!!!) Could they be missing Mats that much?

Backing off and giving them to much ice to work with instead of pressuring the puck, forcing turnovers and generating offense off the turnover. The game winning goal on Wed night is a perfect example. Rangers had 3 guys back when Kucherov was allowed to carry the puck through the neutral zone. They backed off at the blue line, gave him ice to get off the shot. A shot that Lundqvist should have had -- but Kucherov never should have been able to get that shot off 1 on 3.

Welcome to my world. You just described the Islanders power play over the last two seasons. Standing around, passing the puck around the perimeter, no lateral movement to open shooting lanes or get the goalie moving side to side.

On a side note, I think the Ducks have one of the more hideous jerseys in the NHL. Stupid duck foot. Even the original ones were way better

They probably shouldn't have cooked up the franchise to begin with...I mean was the movie really that successful to found a NHL franchise on? Now that they own Marvel & Star Wars they'd have an easier time coming up with something....other than Ducks.

Sorry islander fans I guess we are in your heads. I am not quite sure why though, since we have not won a damn thing in 30+ years -- not even a playoff series in 20+.

So flat tonight. Not only did every fucking Lightning possession look like a power play, but their defense was lights out. They played well in the first period, but no chance for Rangers after.
