I think the FO would go with 3 only because I don' think we're going to have this high of a pick in the next year or 2 and I don't think Geno is the guy. Just my opinion. Based on the players in this scenario that also means MM made it to 6 so there was no trade up.
I like the package of the second option the best and would sign up for this.

All are close, but gun to my head. 1) 4 2) 2 3) 3 4) 1 I don't know but I think option 4 poses way too many risks. Some scouts say Ray can't play OLB in a 3-4, we all know about DGB as well. Although I do like Johnson a lot. I would take option 2 and instead of drafting ILB in the 4th I would look for a guy like Cobb instead. I'm hoping we take DGB but he hasn't even been in on a visit to the facility, so not likely

Sometimes its a ploy by a team to try to increase the players stock so they can draft someone else.

Thought about listing the 5 picks leading up to ours, but it doesn't matter. This is an exercise to see what matters most to you; OPTION #1: 1 - Fowler (OLB/DE) 2 - DJ Humphries (OT) 3 - T. Lockett (WR) 4 - D. Cobb (RB) 7 - T. Plummer (ILB) & T. Smith (CB) OPTION #2: 1 - Cooper (WR) 2 - E. Harold (OLB) 3 - B. Petty (QB) 4 - T. Jones (ILB) 7 - T. Williams (NT) & T. Rawls (RB) OPTION #3: 1 - M. Mariota (QB) 2 - Du. Johnson (RB) 3 - P. Lawson (ILB) 4 - Z. Smith (OLB) 7 - C. Worth (WR) & T. Williams (NT) OPTION #4 1 - S. Ray (DE/OLB) 2 - DGB (WR) 3 - Da. Johnson (RB) 4 - B. Bridge (QB). 7 - B. McClain (CB) & J. Brown (OT) Well done putting these options together btw.

I went with option 2, but would prefer Hundley to Petty. If you fuckers don't already know, I think Hundley is a really really underrated prospect. He is to me what David Johnson is to Paradis as far as non-1st round buys lol

He is to me what David Johnson is to Paradis as far as non-1st round buys lol Interesting...what jumps out to you about Hundley? His footwork to me is the best of the top QBs. Winston's upper and lower body act as if they are being run seaparately, thus the wild inconsistency in his game. Mariota's is choppy and mechanical which again is is reflected in his need to follow the scheme of the play. When I watch Hundley I notice a build up of momentum and energy in the way he is dropping back. It's smooth and decisive. In someways I think he is the opposite of Mariota in that he has great natural talent and solid fundamentals, but was held back by a conservative system. I think a lot of people looked at the simplicity of the offense and felt it was a the reflection of the coach's confidence in Hundley as a player. But I think when you take a look at more of his tape it is more readily apparent that his OL may have been the main culprit in having to have such a conservative game plan. I think he will need a year of seasoning to catch up to speed and be a starter, but that's why I am touting him as a 2nd-3rd player rather than campaigning for him at 6 overall. But the guy has the biggest upside of those three if he's given a year to learn on the bench so he can really work on his craft as a pro. He has all the tools and I think if he had been at Oregon with a much better caliber of a supporting cast he would be discussed as one of the top prospects.

He has a great arm, good build, and decent accuracy. He's willing to stand in the pocket and take a hit. Like Mariota he didn't take many snaps under center, but was actually asked to go through his progressions. He really needs to work on sliding in the pocket and not dropping his eyes when he senses pressure. He took way to many sacks, but ULCA's OL was pretty brutal last year. He also needs to work on his touch throws. He kind of just zips it in there. Other than that I don't think he's take much riskier than Mariota, and will cost a hell of a lot less.

Sometimes its a ploy by a team to try to increase the players stock so they can draft someone else. Do you think a brand new GM/HC combo would take a risk with a character risk pick like that? I doubt they go out on a limb like that with one of their first moves. I was gonna guess he'd be the second round pick but here I am talking myself out of it. Maybe if by some miracle he drops but I doubt that's happening

I think this is a very, very important point you made that I didn't realize. I actually liked what I saw in his tape regarding his mechanics, I think the biggest flaw I saw was his decision making and reading defenses/going through his progressions. I think with the right coaching staff its possible he could develop into a decent starter in the league, but I think he will need a very stout OL (which we currently don't have) and some weapons to work with (a work in progress). I can see a team that is a perennial playoff/superbowl contender take a flier on him so he can develop.

I can see a team that is a perennial playoff/superbowl contender take a flier on him so he can develop. I think given the right development he could turn into a star to be honest. I think he really has the fundamentals down and can navigate the pocket pretty well. His tape often looks like he doesn't run through progressions, but from what I have seen of UCLA's offense it often relied on him to bail them out when the OL/WR play inevitably failed the team. I think the coach saw what he had to work with and created simple 1-2 read progressions b/c that's all the OL would provide time for. Then if that failed the staff seemed to hope that Hundley's talent could overcome the other short comings. Again this is why I think he is severely underrated. I hope the Jets take a flier on him in 2nd or 3rd, of course depending on how the draft falls. I know this will sound like blasphemy, but if I am staring at Mariota and the Browns offered their 2 1st rounders and a 2nd (ideally I'd try to grab their 1st next year as well, using the Washington RGIII deal as my model), I run to make that trade knowing that I think Hundley offers better upside at a better price.

1st round: WR Amari Cooper - Alabama 2nd round: OLB Eli Harold - Virginia 3rd round: QB Bryce Petty - Baylor 4th round: RB Jay Ajayi - Boise State 7th round: OT Andrew Donnal - Iowa 7th round: NT James Castleman - Oklahoma State Replace Petty with Hundley and I would be ecstatic (I am not a huge fan of Petty). Don't think Ajayi lasts till round 4, but like I said if you can get Hundley and Ajayi 3-4 that would be amazing.

I am rooting for us to take him in the 2nd. He really isn't all that different from Mariota. His system and surrounding cast were just a good deal worse.
