I'll admit I'd hate to see this happen to us. Let's assume: The 2 QBs go off the board Fowler is picked Cooper & White are drafted.
So, here comes # 6 and Leonard Williams (DT - USC) is BPA. Assume for a second that we can't trade out. What do you think happens?

He'd be a great fit in Chicago so I'd make them trade with me or drop back another spot or two and take Parker.

I get that trading out would be best option, but since there would be too many possible scenarios, I wanted to see what people would do if they couldn't trade back from #6 and the board fell that way.

I'd take Shane Ray. I really think he is severely underrated these days. Possibly Vic Beasley, not a 100% sold on him. I suppose if I can trade Wilk for a high 1st I might consider that and then take Williams. Seems like a waste tho, since you are trying to find players like Mo in the 1st so trading him for a first is like going back to the well when you already found gold.

Easy decision -- Parker. I'd take him before all those guys regardless sauf maybe winston. Ray is the other easy choice. In fact, having those 5 guys gone would be a Miracle in disguise.

Didn't expect 2 guys to say Parker. Can't say I agree with that. No knock on Parker, but taking the "consensus" #3 WR (I'm sure you guys feel differently) at #6 doesn't seem right, especially given how deep the draft is at WR where we could get a really good one later. Assuming no trade down or trade of Mo (and taking Williams), I would have to say my preference would be to take Beasley or Scherff there.

That being said I can see the jets get offers to move up for the right to draft Williams.

If you think he is your best bet at that stage and he's gonna be a great great player then you take him. I'd personally take Ray before Parker, but I wouldn't lose my mind over taking him. I have him as my #2 receiver behind only Cooper. I think Kevin White is raw and at this point a little overhyped. To me Parker is the mixture of White and Cooper as far as polish/raw talent. Reason I have Cooper higher is that I think his raw talent is higher than people think. Too much underwear olympics fawning going (surprise surprise, draft media does this every year and then like to throw out that the draft is a crap shoot. really they are fucking idiots who fall for the same stuff every year)

If the Jets have Parker rated #2 WR on their board, then drafting him makes sense. When I said "consensus" I was just looking at several mock rankings and he seems to average out at #3. I'll have to defend White. I happen to be a WVa football fan (not crazy, but I follow them) and after watching the first few games this year, I was surprised that no one was talking him up for the draft. IMO, the Combine was just icing on the cake. Also, WVa didn't exactly have a stud at QB either. Is he as polished as Cooper, no, but I think they bring different skill sets to the game. I think the more fair comparison is White and Parker and at that point I think it comes down to the intangible stuff (interviews, background, white board tests) which we as fans don't know about at this point..

I totally agree with you. I think White will get better and better. The guy catches everything in sight and is a high effort player. I also love Parker and have him as my #3 WR.
