Meanwhile, back in the real world: Winston's version of the events is what I heard days after the news broke from a friend whose family is well connected at FSU. So he definitely told the school this in the immediate aftermath. But NCAA doesn't care if you steal crab legs, you only get punished if you're "hooked up." So a theft it was, officially anyway.

So you're saying the NCAA/FSU told him to say he "stole" the crab legs so they wouldn't have to get involved with an investigation regarding being "hooked up"? |
