Apparently according to Rapaport the jets have been burning the phone lines...probably a trade down. I almost never want too trade down, but this is the year to do it. I hope we land a RB, OT, OLB, and WR with our first four picks, no particular order.

There's only one scenario in which I want an OG in this draft and that's if he's an elite guy...an instant starter. If we trade down and take someone like Scherff to play OG for a year or two and then move him to OT then fine. What I don't want is yet another "pretty good", developmental type guy who may compete for an OG spot.....because we already have a bazillion of those guys. If we want Carpenter, Colon, Winters, Aboushi and Dozier competing for two OG starting spots then fine....but don't add another guy from the 3rd or 4th round into that mix. There's no benefit.

Agree 100% I heard Scherff might be an option for the Jets at 6. Not totally opposed to it but we need playmakers on both sides of the ball. Also saw they were interested in Tyler Lockett which would be a great pick in the 3rd round. Would fit right in as a dynamic slot receiver and punt/kick off returner.

Just heard him on the radio. Said they didn't let him do trades for that mock. Said the Jets would trade back and draft Peat.

Yeah, I've heard a few times that they don't take trades into account with their mocks (Mayock said he wasn't allowed to yesterday), but then if you assume no trades, you have to take the guy you would take @ 6. You could put something else in the footnote like I think the Jets will trade back and take Peat, but you can't pick Peat @ 6 and basically ruin the order of your entire mock of the first round in my opinion.
