Looking damn good tonight, despite a very close ying and yang game. He's making up for all that bad footwork last week... if he could only stay out of the crime blotter ! Pretty good focus for a kid facing so much disciplinary focus this week  Idzik would never have the cajones to draft him ... he's more interested in smurf cornerbacks with extensive college injury histories. |

And what would you say if next year he loses the civil suit and he is found guilty of sexual assult and Godell suspends him for a year and public pressure regarding the jets qb being a rapist? Then you spent a #5 pick on a rapist who played 1 season for your team. |

If we lose out the Titans have to play the Giants and us. Also the Jags play the Titans. Then if the Bucs beat Carolina we're guaranteed a top two pick. The chances of Winston only playing one year is also slim to none. If anything was going to be charged with his previous offenses it would have happened by now or before the draft. He's no Aaron Hernandez. |

Then you spent a #5 pick on a rapist who played 1 season for your team. That reality did cross my mind and if he is genuinely guilty of sexual, I would not want him on the Jets. However, I think we will know by draft time how it all plays out. I expect there will be a settlement before it comes to trial in a civil suit. I would prefer that the Jets take risks on talented college players who steal crab legs rather than have had serious knee procedures in college or extended injury histories while playing college ball. Additionally the day of the smurf cornerback is over, the game is too skewed towards offensive players not to have cornerbacks that will be able to compete with big fast wide receivers without committing pass interference on every play. Laverneous Coles dropped to the third because he was convicted of switching price tags in Dillards. This team has too many holes talent wise not to take a risk with some talented but immature young men. Janoris Jenkins, drafted in 2012 is another who would have been drafted higher if he had not been kicked off his college team. Marcus Peters will still get drafted in the first round but likely will fall out of the top fifteen ... he is another discount special for some team. |

He is not going to be criminally charged, the DA already said that the cops and Fla State ruined any chances for a criminal prosecution when the cops told the University and the university told his lawyer who then visited the witnesses before the DA's office. But make no mistake that he will be sued civilly as will Fla state. Her lawyer is the one who beat Johan Santana, Kobe Wake Forest, University of the Pacific, University of Colorado, Stanford and Harvard in title IX cases. He is not some local ambulance chaser looking for a quick buck. And please, all hernadez did in college was smoke Pot and punch a guy in the face when he was a 17 YO student at Fla, He was never accused of something as heinous as Sexual assault. |
