Another honorable mnetion Layne Staley Journey??? Maybe for a girl, but not close. Plant, hands down. Plant was the coolest thing to walk the earth and grace the stage, the music and the rest of the band did nothing but elevate his coolness as well. Morrison was a drug addict, you can't reward a great performance, then a bad, then a great, then a bad, it has to be cool start to finish. David Lee Roth, will go down as one of the best showman, up there in top 5. Jagger, top 5. we are not talking one song. Sort them anyway you want, but Plant is on top with a space between him and the rest. Sorry guys, this is just how it is.

We had this debate on JI some years ago, but fuck it, I'm smashed and wanna have it again. 1. Jim Morrison 2. Robert Plant 3. Freddie Mercury 4. Mick Jagger 5. Steve Perry Can't really argue with this list. Someone mentioned Daltrey as a possibility too. Axl Rose was an interesting suggestion but his peak was too short. David Lee Roth (70s, 80s) is worth considering too. I would throw Paul Stanley into the mix. Yes, Kiss has gone on way too long and egos have gotten out of hand, but just looking at the 1970s and even some of the post makeup stuff in the 80s, IMO he's very underrated. He actually had a great voice and was a decent rhythm guitarist. Edit: my bad, I read Steve Perry and was thinking Tyler. Tyler needs to be in there instead of Perry

Alright, fuck Steve Perry (not really, guy had an amazing voice no matter what you cunts say)
But fuck Daltrey and the like, the same
Eddie Vedder was awesome. Don't care how much shit people want to give Suupe. He takes my 5th place.

After 20+ years, I still only know about 5 fucking lyrics to this song, but it's amazing anyway.

And to anyone who says Morrison was mediocre, once again, when he was on his A-game no one could fucking touch him.
