(which was last Sunday), Jetworks did you partake? I didn't. I also skipped the "Tour de Staten Island" (not kidding) as both are akin to the frenzy displayed by the Amity fishermen when the bounty for the shark is announced. That, plus laying out $92 wasn't high in my list. Instead I biked 35 miles locally for free. I am considering participating in the NYC Gran Fondo.

I was heading somewhere on Sunday morning trying to get out of the city and my way was blocked off for a few hours. I was just wondering how the thing is "organized" since they announced "closures" the night before which didn't include the one that was actually closed. I sure am "educated" about biking now.

Yea, it's definitely an inconvenience to say the least. The main road where the tour ENDS was closed 10 AM to 6 PM. Why, I cannot say.

Because it looked like there were starting points all over the place.

It's a shitshow and it boggles my mind that people pay that much to partcipate in it.

Good. Now I can be mad at them without feeling bad.
