Only a Judge can hold someone in contempt. The only way Goodell does not hear the appeal is IF and only IF he decides not to. It is in the CBA so the union has no recourse. Once he hears the appeal they can go to federal court. At which point full disclosure will be required, of anyone involved. The ball boys, Kraft, Bellicheat and any other Flats employee.

Yeah, this doesn't even have anything to do with Brady. This is about Adrian Peterson. Not sure what they are talking about TBH.

The NFL filed an appeal of the trial court's ruling in the AP case and the NFLPA has filed this motion insisting that the NFL is violating the trial court's order by not complying with its ruling.

Just out of curiosity, do you happen to know what their claim is? How is the NFL violating the ruling in the AP case by Goodsell hearing the Brady case?

From what I've seen its about Goodell not bringing a decision in a timely manner, dragging out the process and not giving due justice - basically that he didn't do his job properly with the AP situation.

The two issues are unrelated except they happen to be occurring at the same time. The NFLPA is saying the NFL is not complying with the court order on AP's punishment.

"Today, the players filed a motion in Federal Court in the Adrian Peterson matter because the Commissioner and NFL have deliberately ignored both the Court's decision from eleven weeks ago and our repeated requests to comply with that order. On February 26th, the NFL was ordered to change their decision in the Peterson matter and reissue a ruling consistent with our collective bargaining agreement. The Union made multiple requests to the League office asking the arbitrator, who serves at the direction of the Commissioner, to comply with the law and avoid further litigation. Despite our attempts, they have done nothing and leave us no choice but to seek this motion. The delay tactics, inconsistencies and arbitrary decision making of the League has continued to hurt the rights of players, the credibility of the League office and the integrity of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. In the absence of any action by the NFL's governing board of owners, the players have acted to hold the NFL accountable to our players, the CBA and to the law. -- Eric Winston NFLPA President" www.nflpa.com/news/all-news/nflpa-files-motion-to-hold-nfl-and-commissioner-in-contempt-of-courtNot a real big Goodell fan but this seems to be an oversight easily corrected. They are breaking balls from all corners seen this tactic before.
