I've generally found IPAs to be easier to brew as well.

This is true. Ive done some IPAs at home and its not a real complicated process.

It's easy to cover up imperfections with all those hops. It's like melting cheese all over something and acting like you're a michelin star chef because you can't taste anything wrong with it. Nonetheless I've had some wrecked IPAs. Sometimes not even truckloads of hops can save the damage of shitty brewing practices.

I'm far from a hipster douchebag (maybe just more of a regular douchebag) and not a big fan of IPAs (hoppiest I can usually do is a Pale Ale) and Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin IPA is one helluva beer.

Gotta say, Ballast Point has the IPA thing down. Everyone I've had has been great. They got a ton of them down here. If you find it, I suggest you try the Big Eye IPA.

They don't go completely overboard with the hops and you wouldn't realize some of them are almost high gravity

I know a few guys who brew and all they talk about is fucking gravity measurements and whether or not they should include it on the label when they start bottling commercially. Tell me about the rabbits, George.
