Former 2nd round pick who started 14 games for the Saints in 2013. Was a back up and played in 2 games for the Gints last season

Hopefully not a foreshadowing of the 2015 season

Did his skillz deteriorate to go from 14 games as starter to a backup? Anyone know? I hope this means we didn't just bow out of the Evan Mathis sweepstakes (whom apparently we can afford after all )

If he couldn't start on the Giants trainwreck of an O-line, I don't have very high hopes for him here.

If he wants to play this coming year with his current salary then I'm sure the Jets will try to get him. Otherwise it's not happening.

Only thing that matters right now in June is whether he is better than Sean Hooey, the guy they cut to make room for Brown. It should not impact our ability to go after Mathis if Macc is interested - since Charlie Brown is likely being paid peanuts (no pun intended - well OK maybe it was intended) likely the vet minimum.
Behind Brick and Breno, in addition to Brown we have guys like Ben Ijalana & James Brewer. Adding Brown to the mix is not necessarily a bad thing. It may not turn out to be a good thing either. But as of now, he is the most experienced back-up tackle on the roster.

Why not? Why wouldn't they want to pay a talented player? probably wants additional years If they wanted him you don't think they could work something out? If his lifespan is limited why would anybody give him additional years? I'm not seeing why this is so out of the question for Jets, but not other teams

I'm not seeing why this is so out of the question for Jets, but not other teams All depends on who else wants him, what they are willing to pay and where he wants to play. He is an unrestricted free agent and is likely to draw interest from a lot of teams, not just us.
