Offering me 15% off NFL merchandise and college tickets  Kindly sent them an email back saying how about a decent 21 century messagebored? Ballbather had promised Scout would not harass me, I guess that lie did not take long to come to fruition now the JI board has barely been closed a week.
I also said HERPYATT™ can have my 15% for being such a fuckin legend.

Got the same email, one of the reasons I still use yahoo is because it has an amazing spam feature.

I got the same email....I tried using their unsubscribe link but when I entered my email address it said that the email addy was unrecognized.
I'm gonna go find Robert Pittman and shove my unsubscribe notice right up his ass.

I got 2 emails from scout so far.
I unfortunately gave them an email address I use, when I signed up right after Ballbather said JI was going dark. Should have waited or given them an address I don't use anymore. Oh well ...

A reputable place will truly unsubscribe you, removing you from their email distribution list. However, some places use the Unsubscribe method to truly confirm email addresses and then use them even more, sell them, etc. I might soon add Scout to my blocked list if I don't unsubscribe. |

I also found the 15% off email from scout in my spam folder. Exactly where it belongs.
I get that Ballbather had the right to sell off JI but he sure was doggy about the things he promised scout would and would not do. I remember him insisting that scout was not out to use our email addresses for marketing and as proof pointed out no emails had been sent. Unsurprisingly, as many said, the second the switch occurred the emails would begin. I have a hard time believing he didn't know that was a significant part of the acquisition.
