Going to be a really good game, not sure I can bring myself to root for FSU though. I am with you. I will be firmly 100% behind the Ducks. Its ironic, because growing up I was always an FSU fan. I hated Florida and Miami, but always rooted for Florida State. Jimbo Fisher and Jameis Winston have cured me of that. I dislike FSU for obvious reasons, plus I can't get behind the whole rooting for your conference thing.

I just don't like either team and I want to see Mariota actually face a team that gets in his face. Even his 5 TD performance against Arizona was bleh for me. If FSU brings their A game it will be a great test for him. It should be a good game, and I can't wait to see it.

Now with Ifo Ekpre-Olomu out for the Rose bowl with a significant industry will the Seminoles be able to take advantage of a freshman starting at cornerback for Oregon ?
No doubt Ifo Ekpre-Olomu drops in the draft to the second or third round with this injury. Luckily the kid succeeded in getting the Ducks to pay for draft insurance in case he dropped ... so he such make out okay financially despite the serious injury five months before the draft.

I don't think Ifo was going to go in the first round even if healthy. Now he is in a very similar situation as Aaron Colvin was in last year. Colvin, who I think was a better prospect than Ifo, fell to the fourth round.

I am not an authority on college football but everything, and I mean everything, I have read suggests he would likely go in the first round ... that is until the injury.

The kid is 5'9" and doesnt posses great speed. Not exactly the type of corner that goes high in a draft. There are lots of scouts that didn't have Ifo as a first round corner.

He's listed as the same "official" height 5'10" and same forty time (4.46)as Janorious Jenkins who's done pretty well for himself.
What he really measures and times in the forty will be alas likely not be assessed in the combine because of his injury.
All three sites also project cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu as a first-round pick. NFLDraftScout calls him the 12th best prospect in next year's draft. Both WalterFootball.com and RotoWorld have him going 17th overall.

Look, it's a moot point now, but last year this time Bridgewater was a lock top 3 pick, Odell Beckham Jr. was a second round pick and Calvin Pryor was listed at 6'2". There were more than a few scouts who didn't have Ifo rated as first rounder based on his lack of size and speed, not to mention that some think he hasn't played up to the level he did last year.

A moot point, yes ... especially since he is injured. Depending on how badly he is injured I think he is worth a shot in the lower rounds
