Winston vs Mariota.
This is the game I was hoping for to start the playoffs and we got it. We've been debating the 2 QB's for months and now we get to see them go head to head.
Big test for FSU as they didn't play their best ball this season and let inferior team hang around in games. If they give a half-ass effort against the Ducks they will be ran out of the Rose Bowl....
Mariota and the Ducks have the opportunity to knock off the defending champs, and finally hand Famous Jameis his first collegiate loss. Enough said.
What are you looking for in this matchup?

Great chance to look at these two guys for those who haven't done so to this point. I'm guessing we'll end up taking one of them in the dwaft.

I like the Ducks here. FSU and Winston are notorious for their slow starts. If they start slow against the Ducks they will be in too big a hole for Winston to lead a 2d half comeback.

I think FSU is going to try to slow the game down by feeding the ball to Dalvin Cook a lot. If Oregon can stop the run, FSU is going to have a tough night.

I just hope Winston plays. With this title IX hearing he may very well be suspended.

They had a great article the other day in the local paper down here in tampa about the man conducting the hearing. It came across that he doesn't give a shit about FSU and will make the right decision, which requires only 50.1% likelihood that he did it.

I believe even if found guilty to have violated student code of conduct, that Winston can appeal the decision which would push back a final decison into mid to late January.

This is an exert from a NY Times article: Cornwell and Clune have indicated they would appeal, if necessary, a process that most likely would stretch well into January. The national championship game, if the Seminoles make it that far, is Jan. 12.

Yep it looks like you're right. Here is an article I read that states both his punishment will be implemented before the games, and at the end it says the appeal will push it back. Journalism at its finest. www.tampabay.com/sports/college/jameis-winston-conduct-hearing-resumes-at-fsu/2208747

I kind of hope FSU finally decides to show up and slams Oregon.

I will be firmly 100% behind the Ducks. Its ironic, because growing up I was always an FSU fan. I hated Florida and Miami, but always rooted for Florida State. Jimbo Fisher and Jameis Winston have cured me of that.
