Well let's see there are bums giving themselves baths in the Columbus Circle fountains, no where to make a turn in midtown, a stroll in midtown with everyone either staring down at their phones and smashing into you, or speaking an undetermined foreign language, walkways made out of roadways, bike lanes crowding out car lanes, violent beggars, more crime, lowered speed limits that have turned even 5am drives into bumper to bumper exercises in patience, and a mayor with head head so far up his own ass he has no idea if it's day or night.

ANyway; I remember how scary alphabet city was in 1980; now the soccor-mom-van-drive me everywhere millenials are crying that Manhattan is "getting rough" and crowded.
