August 8, 2005The Jets would sign Free Agent CB Ty Law to a 1-year contract. The JEts had high hopes heading into that 2005 season, coming off a playoff appearance the prior year that ended in an OT loss in the Divisonal Round in Pittsburgh. Law would have a solid season for the Jets, leading the league with 10 interceptions including a pick 6 of Tom Brady in a week 15 loss to the Pats. Unfortunately, Ty Law's performance would be one of the few bright spots for the Jets that season as they finished 4-12. Herm Edwards would move on to KC after that 2005 season and the Jets would start the rebuild, bringing in Eric Mangini from NE and using 2 first round picks on offensive linemen, bringing in Brick and Mangold.

I was one of the dumbfucks who bought his jersey So tough to pick a jersey to buy. The jets have a history of letting young talent leave and signing old talent past their prime. Better off just getting a past jets jersey like Namath or Kleco and calling it a day.

Missed one last year. On August 8, 1987, WR Don Maynard is inducted into Pro Football's Hall of Fame. First jersey I ever bought for my son -- Don Maynard's #13.

I was one of the dumbfucks who bought his jersey Ditto. I think we were originally told he had signed for 5 years, so I ordered the jersey. Soon turned out the final 4 years were false, and it was a clear one-and-done deal. We should sue.
