If this isn't reason enough that every American is entitled to a handgun to defend themselves against nutjobs i don't know what is. They get the guns regardless every citizen should be allowed to defend themselves EVery American is entitled to a handgun already. What do you want, free guns like Obama was giving away phones? |

Doesnt look like he was too familiar with the particulars of the case much beyond Downings version. From the NY Times:"Tom Devine, the legal director for the Government Accountability Project, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting whistle-blowers, said on Saturday that he had communicated with Mr. Downing for more than a decade. “Every few years there’d be a flurry of calls from him asking questions or asking for support, and we would tell him his options and he’d never make any progress beyond polite responses from government agencies,” Mr. Devine said. “ He was someone who just couldn’t stop beating his head against the wall.”
A federal review board eventually rejected Mr. Downing’s case, but he continued to pursue it. “He didn’t display any symptoms of deep anger or violence, he just seemed like someone who was obsessed and couldn’t move on from an incident that happened decades ago,” Mr. Devine said." And lets be clear...you cant justifiably "be driven" to kill an innocent bystander simply doing his job...if your mental state was solid to begin with. If he was that fragile, chances are it affected his work performance all those years back. His original beef? The Office was closing in NYC and moving to NJ. He didnt want to go.  So he killed an innocent man in cold blood. Yeah...a whistleblower. Hmm I wonder if not being able to get another job all that time had anything to do with his state of mind |
