Detroits in, Bostn ain't gonna score 4 to tie in the third. It almost looked like the rags decided, Oh fuck, if we win we might have to play the Pens. Lets take some really bad penalties in the last minute and maybe we can blow this one. LOL. At least they tried to lose! |

At least they tried to lose! So, I think we need 3 points in the last two games to top the Rags and get the Penguins in round 1. Otherwise its the Panthers. If so, I might be tempted to visit my folks in Florida and catch a game, if it wasn't for the fact that the Isles have lost like 8 in a row that I have seen live. Sorry mom & dad. |

Meh, kinda disappointed in the lacsidasical game tonight. I'd rather see them try and smash every opponent in to the ice every game until the playoffs start. Kinda keep up the intensity. But been a lot of hockey the last 2 weeks, so maybe a bit a breather.

Quine, Kearns, Boulton, Bernier up front. Pelech, Mayfield, Pulock on the blue line. Gibson in goal. Not exactly the team that will be going up against Pitt (or Fla) next week. Big night for Quine, picking up his first NHL goal. |

I guess we will see if taking the foot off the gas pedal has a carry over effect. Don't like the idea of putting Greiss out there to start with a bunch of minor leaguers in front of him. We'll see what happens during the week. |

I wanted to play the Pens also in a "shit or get off the pot" type series for the Isles. Now lets beat Florida so we don't have to talk about 24 years without a playoff series win next season. |
