How to post a video from NFL.com or any NFL affiliated site
There are two methods depending on the page and the player that they're using, the second is slightly more complex
Method One:
1. We'll use this page an example (http://www.newyorkjets.com/videos/videos/JetLife-Get-to-Know-the-Bearded-Man/981a9aa4-75ab-45fd-83d4-91d060792c6d)
2. Right click anywhere on the page (not the video) and click View Page Source (can also go to the 'View' drop down, 'Developer' and find it from there)
3. Search for "mp4" on the page source
4. Copy the full link
5. Change the 500k if you want to change your resolution (5000k is full HD)
6. Use the 'Insert Video' tool to insert your video
Method Two:
1. So on some other NFL.com pages (http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/0ap3000000532238/Sound-FX-Todd-Bowles) you'll notice that if you View Page Source and search for 'mp4' nothing will come up. They're using a different player for this video. This is slightly harder, though not impossible, to extract
2. On Chrome (Firefox can do this too but a different method) open the page with the video but DO NOT BEGIN PLAYING THE VIDEO YET. This will not work if the video has started playing
3. Open Developer Tools (found in the view toolbar)
4. Click on the Network tab
5. Begin playing the video
6. A bunch of gibberish is going to pop up now that we don't care about. Sort by type and find the one path that is type 'video'
7. Right below the path under the 'Headers' tab look under 'General' for the 'Request URL'. Copy this entire URL
8. All the URLs will be in this same format. You're going to have to do some editing here.
9. Erase everything after mp4
10. Change the resolution to your desired amount
11. Replace the 'vod.hstream' at the beginning of the link with the letter 'a'
12. Use the 'Insert Video' tool to insert your video
All of this probably seems complicated at first glance but its just a series of steps and knowing where to look - takes 10 seconds to get your link once you know what you're looking for. Alternatively newyorkjetshampur.com/post/113808
