I mean if fans can break it down, coaches must see it right??
How can they look at this and think it's smart to keep starting him. So many plays are being left on the field. Can't believe how much I'd rather see geno in there.

At least he put up 2 touchdowns. If it had been Geno it would read 5 interceptions.
I mean seriously pull up Genos breakdown of his worst 2 games last season.
Look I will be honest. I don't like Ryan Fitzpatrick simply because he played for the Bills. I didn't think he was a great pickup. I think the whole thing about his beard is pathetic. However he IS a better option than Geno for this season. Geno is a selfish prick and a bad team player as shown in pre season. I don't believe for one minute that Geno is the future of the Jets or any other franchise for that matter.
Fitz has however taken us to 3-1 in a season I expected to be lower. He is putting up decent numbers and leading this team to wins. That builds momentum and confidence. Only a dunce would risk all of that by subbing out the starting QB for another after a win.
Seriously, some of you people need to shake your heads a shake and move those rocks around.

This "if it was Geno he would have done X" narrative is asinine - there's no way to say what he would have done with this offense in his third year. None. To say otherwise is ignorant and deliberately biased.

Geno has more talent and more upside. Let's c what he can do. He's an idiot and really f'd up his own chances with his moronic fight but mayb he learned something too. Idk, but I do know that Fitz is not the answeR. He sucks and we r winning in spite of him.

Fitz is the best QB the Jets have had since Favre. Geno had Decker and Harvin to work with and did not produce. Those are decent enough tools for a good QB to put up numbers. Besides numbers Geno is terrible at playing to the circumstances of the game. He has zero situational awareness. There's no need to jump the gun and pull Fitz while the team is going well. Geno can get his developmental time if Fitz fizzles out. If Fitz keeps up the winning streak, Geno will have to wait until next year. The Jets don't owe Geno anything.

Petty growing into the spot next year is all we've got. We're too good to get a draft spot for QB. I worry that the awesome people we have will get discouraged and look elsewhere first chance they get. It's kind of like location is to a house. Doesn't really matter if you put in gold plated appliances and toilet seats... might sell the house faster but it's not going to significantly increase the price.
Same with great players, winning increases their value and they may just get tired of hanging around a mediocre team.

I've never seen such a natural thrower coming out like him but he's a project. If he's developed right he's going to lead this team for a decade. But for right now Fitzpatrick gives the Jets the best chance to win. If he slips up tragically after the bye then Geno can finish out the year and try to lay claim as the starter. But I hope for Petty and the teams sake that he never sees the field until he's been Aaron Rodgers type developed.

Philip Rivers should read this and realize he's going nowhere with the Chargers and get traded to the jets. This team would be awesome with an actual QB.

Rivers to Marshall would be like Cutler to Marshall on steroids. I would love that.

Rivers did pretty well with Gates and two WR's out He also has a worse OLine than we do, and that was before losing 3 starters.
