Today is Veterans Day Not one candidate mentioned it in yesterday's Republican debate. Not one word. ============================================ I don't think there was any expectation or obligation for them to do so? Forgive me for following you off track in your well meant and sincere Veterans Day Thread. Thanks to all the Vets that have served and for those Vets still with us I hope you are at peace with your time spent in the service of us all.

In a debate that was supposed to be exclusively focused on the economy, they spent a great deal of time talking about how we need to increase our military and defense budget but it is so woefully underfunded, so I think, yeah, just acknowledging who they were talking about would have been nice, and not doing so was a glaring omission

So to me it just seems nit picky of anyone to even notice (not smarmy). And I get the feeling that you mention it from of more of a anti Republican perspective then any thing else. It simply does not bother me in the least other then to see it mentioned in a thread that discusses our gratitude to Veterans on Veterans Day. But your thread so carry on, and I don't want to pick on you or otherwise give you a hard time as you have grown on me. So my apologies if I have said any thing unsettling.
