Happens. If the Russians were truly guilty of not heeding multiple warnings, they're in the wrong and really have no beef. Turkey's a sovereign nation and a member of NATO to boot, so Putin can kick rocks over this being a "stab in the back."

I've no doubt they crossed into Turkish airspace being the arrogant pricks that they are but still... What worries me is the fact that we import about half of our natural gas from russia and we have no viable alternatives. And... winter is coming. Yes, I went there. |

The narrative in Turkey is unbelievable the leftists are almost in tears blaming the Turkish gvt, IS, US (yes you guys too) and the EU. I don't think they realize that the USSR is dead and there is a right wing lunatic running that country or old habits are hard to break when in doubt blame anyone but russia. They make me fucking sick and I'm not even pro government.

You're right it sucks to live in this shithole called the middle east but if you don't have a sense of humor and a skin like a rhino in this part of the world you won't keep your sanity for very long. I expect some sort of regional war in the middle east in the not so distant future because the borders are artificial, the people are crazy and they have money and guns.
