Time after time, after time, we watched Rex's D take the field with 2-4 minutes left and surrender the game deciding score. Often times after having played great for the first 55+ minutes. They didn't fold all of the time, but it certainly felt like most times.
Now in Buffalo, at the conclusion of a disappointing first season, Rex's D comes up with 2 stops to close out the game.
What the fuck man?
It's like we were set up last week to make this loss more painful.

This is the same team I watched in '81, '82, '85, etc etc forever. Same exact fucking team. Year in year out.

TBH, Rex owns Fitz/Gailey. Buffalo had a mediocre D against almost everyone this year except us. He has their number.

Its not Rex. They win in spite of him. Its us.
Fitz telegraphed that pass. He made up his mind in the huddle that Decker was getting the ball. 3 4th quarter INTs. It took until the final quarter of the season for the bad Fitz to show up.
Two things happened today. First, we are a cursed franchise. That dark cloud will always be over our heads. Second, we did not make adjustments. We had a losing gameplan on defense. Im sorry. At half it was time for Bowles to reconcile that our strategy on Watkins wasnt working and our blitzes werent getting home. They beat us with sometimes with one and two man routes.
All year. Whether it was Gronk, Cooper, Hopkins or Watkins. In those games there was only one guy that could really hurt us and we allowed them to.

The Jets were their own worst enemy...again. For a team that's been mostly prepared, disciplined and making few mistakes, they've now been the complete opposite in both games against Buffalo. It boggles the mind....almost as if the ghost of Rex's shitty coaching was affecting the Jets just be being within 50 yards of the guy. Penalties, turnovers, etc. Just ugly. Sheldon....offsides....really? I mean common! Ray Charles could see that Buffalo wasn't going to snap it and was just trying to draw you offsides.
Oh well. On to next year.....again!
Go Cardinals I guess.
