Reading the book Ty Cobb: A Beautiful Tragedy.
Interesting take...not revisionist history but seemingly fact checked and offers some very cool insight on the early days of baseball...including how teams were formed and managed.
A real eye opener for me...im only 5 to 6 chapters in but it doesnt paint a real rosey picture of alot of these guys...players/managers/ or owners. Lots of them make Cobb sound like a relative saint.

Not to hijack, but this is a good read if you want insight in how things "used to be".

Thanks.
Finished the Cobb book and while a bit dry/slow in a few parts it was worth the read if you're a baseball fan.
Will start soon on your recommendation.
