So everybody is giving up on Devin Smith already? I think if Fitz had connected a little more often on his throws to Smith you guys would be less pessimistic. Pretty much what Lith said. I'm not writing him off, but there's significant concern. Some careers never get going after being derailed the way his has begun... The important *present* problem here is that we run a 4 WR set like 60% of the time of something ridiculous. We need bodies that can do what they're supposed to do. We can't afford to just wait on Smith. Next man up in April. ps. Is that the lost boys sax player? lol, cause if it is... your stock is soaring.

Find out who the Steelers like. Jeebus, it seems like they never miss on a WR regardless of where they pick him.

The school issue then injuries hurt him but he really didn't look like he knew what the hell he was doing when he first got a chance. I'm not writing him off but I'm also not relaying on the guy, we should take another WR if we can this year.

Really, It looked to me like timing was the problem in that Smith was out-running Fitz's arm. Most of his targets were behind him.

Bryant and Coates can't catch. Jet fans would run both out of town on a rail after 1 season.

The biggest addition to the Jets offense next year might just be a healthy Devin Smith and Jace Amaro. If both can start playing to their ability, we will be even deadlier than we were this year.

I really wish the Jets had picked Lockett last year instead of Smith, our special teams would have been much better off.

Haven't really seen Coates because its tough to find the field behind the other guys but he did have 2 catches for 61 yards verse Denver. Your comment about Bryant is silly. While he doesn't have elite hands, he catches just fine. Against Denver's elite D without Brown in the lineup he had 9 catches for 154 yards and 2 rushes for 40. Even Phil Simms said his athletic ability reminds him of Randy Moss.

I remembered praying that the Jets would pick him in the 4th round and how disappointed I was that Saunders and Evans were the picks.
