Share your thoughts and lists;
1) L. Treadwell -- I'm tempted to putt Coleman here out of boredom, so I went back watched his games. The guy's supremely legit - though he's way more Jeffery than Bryant. Smooth and physical. Like to see him adjust better at times.
2) C. Coleman -- Baylor's system doesn't challenge their receiver's "versatility", but the meat is there. OBJ type ceiling. His Burst is legendary and he looks great against press-man. He should go top 20.
3) D. Robinson -- might be the best kept secret in the draft. Here's your Dez Bryant. I see a man who owns his defender.
4) R. Higgins -- great off the line, reliable hands. Runs his route with authority.. I like it. Lot of K. Allen to his game. And like Keenan, he lacks speed. Relies on good breaks and good routes.
5) T. Boyd -- We're starting to sleep on Boyd. He doesn't fit the bill for a split-end, but debasing him to "just a slot guy" is hyperbole. He plays press well, runs great routes and always positions himself for the catch. A better/bigger R. Woods.
Fringe guy; J. Doctson -- Michael Floyd lite... i love the way the he's able to track the ball, adjust and focus in traffic, but such a lack of game speed. Worry he'll disappear like D. Jarrett. Him, Higgins and Boyd are all kind of neck and neck as late 2nd to early 3rd round picks.

This should be a good thread and I'm all in for a drafting another WR. One injury to either Decker or Marshall and suddenly our WR corp looks like shit. I have no faith in Devin Smith, he has bust written all over him and Enunwa drops as many as he catches.
You know I love Treadwell and I'll check out more of Coleman and Robinson, especially if you're that high on Robinson.
It will be awhile before I get to the receivers, but I'll get there. Normally some good spirited debate when it comes to this position, hopefully some others chime in.

Does Robinson return kicks/punts? One thing I want out of a WR this year is a return man.

Not a tremendous WR group this year but, the more I watch Coleman the more I think he is best WR in this draft. I think he is a lot like Brandin Cooks, but a bit bigger. Pair him with Decker and Marshall and you have a formidable receiver group. Coleman is what everyone is wishing Devin Smith will become, but he never will unfortunately.

I keep resisting the urge to put Coleman over Treadwell, but it's hard. Coleman's burst/game speed is amazing. Treadwell's a beast, but he's already near his ceiling. I'm sure he'll develop as a rout runner, and continue polishing his game, but i'm not sure he's bound to be a top 5 league #1 wide receiver. Low risk IMO with him. You said it tho, not a tremendous group. There's very little below that upper crust. * don't think Robinson is KR/PR guy. Never seen him in game...

No TE rankings? It's obviously a need, do you have any breakdowns on Henry and Howard?

No TE rankings? It's obviously a need, do you have any breakdowns on Henry and Howard? Paradis should check out Beau Sandland. He has a great size at 6'5 250 and I believe was a former basketball player. That's why he went to one of the top Juco schools before transferring to Miami. It was apparently too much for him since he's still learning the position so he left for Montana State. He could be a late round UDFA gem. I also like Nick Vannett from OSU and I haaaaate OSU players. He's a good blocker and an underrated pass catcher. I still need to watch a few more WRs before I post in this thread, but I'm all over it.

Him and Harvards' Ben Braunecker are my 2 late draft hope diamonds. I haven't done up yet a list because this years class is kind of meh. There's a couple of obvious names like Henry and Vannet but I want to wait till after the senior bowl. McGee and Higbee and others will there. I'm a little disenfranchised tbh about TEs because of the Jets offense and use of the position. Maybe some better talent will get them on the field more often.

I know Evan Engram is going back to school, but he'd be perfect for Enunwa's role. He would be like Enunwa on steroids.

Edit: Announced today that he will be returning to school: Rotoworld NFL Draft @rotoworld_Draft 3h3 hours ago TE O.J. Howard announces return to school tinyurl.com/gmm2a67

Had Engram come out, definitely would made for a more exciting discussion. Same with Howard - who I get the impression will return to compete for top of his class next year.
Henry's a total package. Which makes him all Gronk and no Hernandez and I just don't know if there's a role in this offense for a inline guy like that. Which is why I feel adamant about needing that #3 WR with the same of urgency as you would a #1 and #2.

So everybody is giving up on Devin Smith already? I think if Fitz had connected a little more often on his throws to Smith you guys would be less pessimistic.

Not exactly, but it would be irresponsible of our front office to not try and add another pure WR to what we already have.

Not necessarily giving up on Devin Smith, but not counting on him either. With the injury coming in December, he is not likely to be ready for training camp and after missing camp this year, I don't think you can expect much out of him next season. Anything we get from him will be a bonus. We are still paper thin at the position beyond Decker and Marshall, so if we have the opportunity to add someone in the draft, I would not be against it.
